In planning this addition to our church building, we were concerned to be as energy efficient as possible. We believe that we, who bear the image of God, have a significant responsibility to care for the earth. Geothermal energy seemed a natural way to express our concern.

My wife and I are the Directors of Music at the Church. We are retired, with a life long interest in efficient energy. One of our local banks recently installed a geothermal unit for their new home office, and we attended a meeting where the CEO of the bank and the head of the company that installed the unit made an excellent presentation of the project. We have found that building to have the quietest and most comfortable all weather control that we have experienced, and are very glad our congregation voted to go this route.

We are proud to participate in this energy saving program, both, in the matching grant and in how we will reduce our global use of petrochemicals for the future.
