The First Parish in Brookline is taking on three small green energy projects. It's replacing three toilets and a sink to save water, and installing attic insulation and new storm windows to save on energy costs.
The water conservation project is expected to save the parish 320,000 gallons of water in the next 20 years. In addition, the added attic insulation will lower the parish's carbon footprint by 376,250 pounds and the new windows will reduce its footprint by another 13,404 pounds.
