About New Generation Energy
Our mission: to make America's communities healthier and more sustainable through the development of renewable energy and energy efficiency projects.
New Generation Energy is a Boston-based nonprofit committed to helping nonprofits nationwide become more sustainable. We educate organizations on the many benefits of being environmentally conscious, and we provide the tools and support they need to fund their green projects.
Our Green Project Listing Site features green energy and energy efficiency projects at nonprofit organizations. This listing site is similar to a microfinance site, but support is in the form of individual donations 
rather than a loan, and all of our projects have measurable carbon and energy savings.
Donations to each project come from people interested in supporting their community and the environment.
We also connect businesses with green projects in their communities through our local + GREEN program. Being a member of local + GREEN has many benefits. You’ll 
receive invitations to informational events with other green-minded businesses, certificate of recognition, online advertising and more. Join now and showcase your commitment to your environment and community.
Nonprofit organizations -- such as schools, shelters, food banks, libraries, and community centers -- are hard at work trying to fulfill their missions. Many 
don’t have the resources to spend on energy efficient projects.
That's where we come in.
New Generation Energy helps these eco-conscious nonprofits fund green projects through the Green Project Listing Site and through local + GREEN. We also offer marketing support, provide matching donation funds, and host virtual donation events. Since the GPLS's launch in October 2010, New Generation Energy has helped more than 18 communities nationwide and has helped fund 17 projects.

New Generation Energy was created in 2006, and since then, our projects have generated CO2 lifetime emission reductions of nearly 6 million pounds. Learn more on our funded projects page.
